Today we’ll feel and experience a beautiful city of Ventura, followed by an interview with wonderful Nicole Taylor! Originally from Los Angeles, soprano and Teaching Artist Nicole Taylor is a graduate of the Masters program at The Juilliard School in New York. Since her Carnegie Hall recital ‘debut in 2006, Nicole Taylor has won awards in international and American competitions, including the Concours International de Musique de Chambre in France, the Leontyne Price Competition in Atlanta, the Kosciusko (косиеско) Foundation Marcella Sembrich Competition in New York, as well as, international music study grants from the Huntington Beebe Fund in Boston, the Académie Musicale de Villecroze in France, and the Schleswig Holstein Festspiele in Germany. She has appeared in a number of dramatic and operatic roles, including the female leads in Le Nozze de Figaro, Les Dialogues des Carmelites, Die Fledermaus, Cunning Little Vixen, The Turn of the Screw, and Porgy & Bess. Her extensive vocal repertoire includes classical art songs of the 19th and 20th centuries, and solo concert works such as Strauss' Four Last Songs and Barber's Knoxville: Summer of 1915.
